See what is inside a PDF
Who wrote it, with which software, what comments it carries, what files are attached and whether there is invisible text under the images. Nothing is changed and nothing is uploaded.
Before sending a document it is worth knowing what it carries. This tool opens the PDF and shows the list without changing anything: author and title, the program it was made with, dates, comments and notes, filled form fields, files embedded inside, invisible text from an OCR, layers that can be switched back on, and whether the document carries JavaScript.
It is the tool you use when a PDF arrives from outside and you have to decide whether to forward it. It is also the one that convinces: plenty of people discover here that their documents carry their name and their company's written inside. Every finding links to the tool that removes it, and the file is left exactly as it was.
FAQ
Does it modify the file?
No. It only reads it and tells you what is there. To remove something you go to the matching tool, or straight to analyse a file.
What is invisible text?
Text drawn in invisible mode, usually what a scanner leaves under the image so the document can be searched. You cannot see it, but it can be copied and indexed.
Is the document uploaded anywhere to analyse it?
No. It is opened and read in your browser, with the same engine the redaction tool uses. The file never leaves your computer.
