Privacy
The short version: your files are never uploaded anywhere, so there is nothing to store, to lose or to sell. This page sets out the little that is processed, by name, so you do not have to take a promise on trust.
Your files: none, ever
The documents and photos you drop are opened and processed inside your browser, on your computer. They are not sent to any server, ours or a third party's, not even to analyse them.
You do not have to believe us: switch off the wifi, drop a file, and watch everything keep working. What downloads the first time is the program; the file never goes up. The code is published for anyone to check.
Page visits
We count how many times each page is viewed using Vercel's counter, Vercel being also the host of this site. It is a cookieless count that identifies nobody: we do not know who you are, we do not follow you across other sites, and what one person did cannot be reconstructed.
That counter never sees your files, because your files never leave your browser.
If you write to us
The contact form sends nothing on its own: it opens your email program with the message written and you send it. From then on, your address and whatever you tell us sit in our mailbox, hosted at Zoho, so we can reply and follow up.
It is kept for as long as it takes to help you and, if you ask, it is deleted. It is not used to send you marketing and it is not passed to anyone.
What stays in your browser
Whether you prefer light or dark, which language you read the site in, and whether you left the menu open when switching language. It is kept in your browser's local storage, it never travels to a server, and you can clear it whenever you like from your browser settings.
There are no cookies. Not for sessions, not for advertising, not from third parties. Which is why you will not see a banner asking you to accept them.
Who it is shared with
Two companies, and only for what is needed: Vercel, which hosts the site and counts the visits, and Zoho, which hosts the email. Neither receives any file of yours, because there are no files to send.
There is no advertising, no embedded social media, no tracking pixels and no behavioural analytics service.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to anything we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to our using it. Since the only thing we can hold is an email you sent us, it is usually settled in one message.
Write to hello@lacre.tools and we answer ourselves, with no forms and no case numbers.
If you think we are getting it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Who is responsible
Lacre · hello@lacre.tools
Lacre does not charge for anything yet. The day it does, the trading name, tax number and address will be here too, as Spanish e-commerce law requires.
